Imani Robinson, BCBA
Clinical Director
Born and raised in Chicago with a deep-rooted passion for making a difference in the lives of others, Imani embarked on a journey driven by the desire to empower individuals with disabilities and create a more inclusive society.
Imani began her academic pursuits at Northern Illinois University, where she earned an undergraduate degree in Family Consumer Nutrition Sciences with a focus on Family Services. It was during this time that she discovered her calling to support and uplift vulnerable communities, particularly those facing intellectual, physical, and learning challenges and she continued her participation in the International Organization Best Buddies collaborating with the local community to create one to one friendships to support families and individuals with intellectual and developmental individuals.
Upon graduating, Imani dedicated herself to practical work in the field, joining National Louis University’s P.A.C.E program. Here, as a vocational coach and residential life assistant, she played a pivotal role in guiding young adults towards independence and meaningful employment. Her unwavering commitment to nurturing essential life skills left an indelible mark on the students she mentored, instilling in them the confidence and capabilities needed to thrive independently in the community.
Eager to deepen her understanding and expertise in special education and behavioral analysis, Imani pursued a Master’s degree with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis at Arizona State University. Armed with this advanced knowledge, she transitioned into the role of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, where she continued her mission of empowering individuals across the lifespan.
Throughout her career, Imani has tirelessly advocated for the rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities, striving to break down barriers and challenge societal perceptions. Whether working with children or adults, her approach is marked by compassion, empathy, and a steadfast belief in the potential of every individual to flourish.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Imani finds solace and inspiration in exploring the rich tapestry of cultures and experiences our world has to offer. From the vibrant streets of Hungary to the bustling cities of China, she embraces every opportunity to broaden her horizons and deepen her appreciation for diversity.
In every facet of her life, Imani remains dedicated to the principles of equity, justice, and empowerment. Through her work, advocacy, and personal journey, she continues to illuminate the path towards a more inclusive and compassionate society.
